Welcome to Radius
“Radius are the sum of a remarkable group of parts
and demand to be listened to and engaged with”
Radius was founded in 2006 as a specialist contemporary classical chamber music ensemble based in London, United Kingdom. With a reputation for outstanding musicianship and innovative ideas, the high standard of our performances has been critically acclaimed by the national and musical press.
Radius have appeared at London’s Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre, at festivals and on tour, and have given the first performances of many new works.
Who Is Radius?
Radius was founded by the composers Tim Benjamin and Ian Vine. The founder members were Daniel Rowland (violin), Oliver Coates (cello), Jennifer George (flute), Charys Green (clarinet), John Reid (piano) and Adrian Spillett (percussion).
Many notable concert artists have also performed with Radius, including Alexander Sitkovetsky (violin), Adam Walker (flute), Alexandra Wood (violin), Huw Morgan (trumpet), Sarah Watts (clarinet), Owen Gunnell (percussion), and Berenika (piano).
The Radius Fund
The Radius Fund is intended to build upon our past as a chamber music ensemble, and to encourage performances of new works after their premieres through an innovative “micro grants” award scheme.
